Savers Bank Announces Executive Promotions and New CIO Hire

Southbridge, MA— Savers Bank is pleased to announce the following promotions of three key executive leaders and the addition of their new Chief Information Officer. The strategic appointments will play a key role in supporting the company’s continued mission of being a leader among Massachusetts community banks.

Keri Gonzalez – Vice President, Deposit Operations and eServices to Senior VP, Operations & eServices

Keri is responsible for the oversight and development of the Bank’s core banking platforms, payments/fintech initiatives and all electronic and deposit functions. Keri joined Savers Bank from Dean Bank in September of 2017 with over 24 years of banking experience. Since joining Savers Bank Keri’s knowledge and experience has helped moved the bank forward in her areas of expertise. Keri has a B.A. from Stonehill College, an MBA from Florida International University and she’s an Accredited ACH Professional. Keri lives in Upton with her husband Roland.

Daniel J. Serafin, Sr. – Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Dan joined the Savers Bank team in March as Chief Information Officer. He is an accomplished hands-on technologist with 20+ years’ experience in the financial services industry. His most recent position was as SVP, CIO at Avidia Bank in Hudson, MA. Dan has a B.S. in Information Technology from University of Massachusetts-Lowell and holds professional certifications in CISSP, is ITIL Foundation Certified and is a Certified Network Engineer. Dan lives in Millbury with his wife Claudette and has three sons, DJ, Tyler and Alexander.

Vanessa Stratton, CPA - Vice President Treasurer/Controller to VP, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

As CFO & Treasurer, Vanessa is responsible for coordinating and directing the financial, fiscal and related activities of the Bank. Vanessa is a CPA and joined Savers Bank in November of 2017. Vanessa came to Savers Bank with years of banking experience and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration following the Finance Track. Vanessa resides in Manchester with her husband, Alejandro.

Peter J. Kaslauskas – Vice President, Investments to Senior Vice President, Investments

Peter joined Savers Bank in 2001 as our Investment Executive after having worked over nine years in other financial institutions such as, Citizens Financial and New York Life Insurance Company. Peter has a B.S. in Economics from Brandeis University. Most recently Peter was awarded membership to the LPL Directors club for his performance in 2019; this recognizes Peter as part of an elite group of the industry’s finest.
